Jeff completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Australia, and was admitted in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in October 2003.
Since that time he has practised primarily in family law, taking instructions in respect of property settlement (including de facto and same sex matters), children's issues, binding financial agreements, spousal maintenance, and restraining orders. He has acted as counsel at numerous trials in the Magistrates Court and Family Court of Western Australia, and also appeared in the Supreme Court and District Court.
Jeff joined Klimek & Co in January 2009 after spending almost 4 years at a large city-based general practice law firm.
In both 2006 and 2007 he represented WA in the National Golden Gavel Competition, after winning the WA finals. In 2006 he won the People's Choice Award at the Golden Gavel national final.
In 2006 the Law Society of Western Australia invited Jeff to be the keynote speaker at the annual High Court Dinner in Perth.
Since 2008 Jeff has also coached high school students at his alma mater, All Saints' College, for the Law Society of WA's Inter-School Mock Trial Competition. |
